Watch an absolutely badass clip from Ain’t In It For My Health: A Film About Levon Helm

“In 2008, Levon Helm was nominated for a Grammy Award for Dirt Farmer, his first album in 22 years,” the screen reads. “He was also told he would receive a lifetime achievement honor for his work with The Band.”

Watch Levon scoff at the prospect of a “bullshit” lifetime achievement award here. The minute-long clip is taken from Ain’t In It For My Health: A Film About Levon Helm, directed by Jacob Hatley. According to the film’s Facebook page, it deals with Levon’s battle with throat cancer, the death of his former Band-mates Richard Manuel and Rick Danko, and his other struggles in the context of his renewed success.
