Tomfoolery Resonates Endlessly On Site…

by mikeflanagan1

For those who, for lack of FleeTheFactory.com, haven’t noticed, The Receiving End of Sirens have been keeping up a blog while they record a new song for the deluxe re-release of Between the Heart and the Synapse.

Today they posted a demo track from a coulda-been 5-song EP from 2007 that “mimicked the body’s transformation throughout the 5 stages of sleep, from awake into deep R.E.M sleep”. The Sounds of Sleep EP was never released, but the band seems to be hesitant to out it as a project that will die unfinished. It seems a bit like someone misses making music…

But whether it is or is not coded in empty hope, The Tomfoolery of a Broken Up Band Making Music is a great read for any die-hard (as if there were any other kind) TREOS fan. Followers can ask the band questions, get the first word on updates, watch 15-second studio clips, and drift away to TREOS’ sounds of sleep. It’s as worthy 2010 version of FTF as we’ll find.
